SENIOR BFA THESIS EXHIBITION
BRAND IDENTITY
For my thesis show, I explored ways to work on the project that would reflect calmness and combine my love for succulents. The word serene means calm, peaceful, and untroubled. These synonyms perfectly describe the main concept of my plant shop. Home is the place where we feel the most secure after a stressful day at work or at school. Our family, plants, and decor help us feel recharged and balanced. Succulents are excellent for reducing stress and improving mood, focus, concentration, and productivity due to their natural relaxing and calming properties. Succulents also help with air quality, circulation, and humidity control. Succulents symbolize tenacity, determination, endurance, focus, and growth. That's how the idea of Serene Succulents & Decor came to life.
My plant shop specializes in selling a unique selection of succulents and succulent-themed home decor. In addition to designing the branding and packaging using my own photography and illustrations, I also designed and 3D-printed the plant pots, used a laser cutter to make wooden plant pokes, wooden interior signage and coasters for my plant shop. I believe that the chosen color palette, fonts, and use of imagery add to the feeling of serenity.
